  1. So if you've been with Affinity Photo since the initial beta in 2015, there's no way to get these macros?
  2. I've been using AP in conjunction with C1 (Capture One) since AP was in (original) beta. I use C1 for RAW conversion and initial color grading. I just like the way RAW looks in C1 compared to other converters. The other big reason is the color balance tool for color grading. There just isn't a visual tool like this in other editors. I then bring the image in to AP for skin retouching (and lint lol) and final touches including sharpening, grain, a color overlay and vignette. I love the fact that the current beta has a true color picker tool for frequency separation work where you can select a 3x3 or 5x5, instead of 1x1. Anyhow, here is my latest edit showing after C1 conversion and the final image. Before anyone critiques the pose, I'm aware of the folds under the arm and bra. Not posting for that purpose, just showing edits.
  3. Haven't heard anything new since June regarding Affinity Photo on the iPad. The video looked very promising so I'd love to hear any updates. Thanks in advance
  4. Is the layer linking the same as clipping one layer to another in photoshop?
  5. Don't see this listed as feature of beta, but I'll download and take a look. Thanks
  6. Is there a way to select 5 by 5, 3 by 3, etc? Seems it is only doing 1 pixel color selection
  7. Just saw the preview video for Affinity Photo on the iPad! Looks great and can't wait to try the beta (wink wink). Says all features of the desktop version so I assume RAW persona and frequency separation? http://www.dpreview.com/news/0176552052/affinity-photo-for-ipad-early-build-showcased-at-apple-s-wwdc-2016
  8. Ok, one thing to keep in mind for anyone trying to do this in the future. If you add noise by applying a live filter, once you rasterize, you lose the point of a live filter as it gets baked in. I wonder if there is another way to crop off this excess without rasterizing.
  9. Since this layer started as a pixel layer that was filled with 50% gray and had noise added to it, isn't it already a pixel layer? BTW, can you transform by percentage instead of doing the math to figure out exact pixel count? I know this is a default option in PS
  10. Title may be confusing so let me explain. I use a method of adding grain to my images that I learned in a photoshop tutorial. One of the steps for this method requires me to resize a layer by a factor of 2 to make the grain larger than the original canvas, thusly making the grain appear coarser. As you might guess, leaving this extra info there balloons the files size quite a bit. The next step in photoshop would be to crop that extra info outside the borders of the image to the dimensions of the image, while still leaving the grain larger/coarser. I'm neither a photoshop or affinity photo wiz, but I can't figure out how to do this in AP. I'm sure it's simple. Thanks in advance for your help. Love this app
