I get this error too. Can't upload anything in the forum! https://imgur.com/a/P5sUfCx -
It does gets reasterised using Level 3! Illustrator opens them as bitmaps and that's the reason SS is rejecting it. No luck.

@Sean P Any possible workaround to export a vector with gradients in EPS format without getting it rasterised? Rasterise nothing doesn't help! 😞

Thanks for sharing your test. So, Xara Designer can export EPS with AI being embedded? Serif has previously mentioned in forum that they can't do that due to the proprietary limitation. I always wonder why stock sites don't support SVG format which is an open format!

As I mentioned in my post, their rejection reason is specific: Linked Images / Bitmaps / Raster Effects: Vectors containing linked images, bitmaps, and/or raster effects are not acceptable. Also, I've uploaded vectors created in AD successfully to stock sites before. Not a newbie to SS. Only one thing I can't inspect well in AD is linked images!

Nope, no layer effects, brush, blend modes or transparency! I've used some rectangles for masking. Will that be a problem? Are there things that gets rasterized even if I select rasterize nothing? I've used gradients with 3 stops; I don't think it's complex.

I've been trying to upload an EPS created in AD to Shutterstock for past few days. I saved it with rasterise nothing. Initially, I thought this might have happened as a mistake from reviewer. Anyhow, re-submission got rejected too. Rejection reason: Linked Images / Bitmaps / Raster Effects: Vectors containing linked images, bitmaps, and/or raster effects are not acceptable. I tried to examine the file, but couldn't find any raster effects (vector does have gradients, but haven't used any blend modes, layer effects or adjustments). I don't know how to check for linked images although I've not used any image placements in the design! Is it possible inspect the file for linked images in AD? I can upload the file privately if Serif team could look at it. Else here is a similar test EPS created in AD. Shapes are positioned similar to the original with same export settings. test.eps

Maybe you can think of a unique icon for each of them instead of the common anchor point icon!

Loved it!

I read the Affinity help section online, but sill didn't get it completely. It says: when selected, objects in the exported file have relative positions for maximum editability. If this option is off, object positions are fixed to create a file which is optimized for viewing. Does this mean if the option is unchecked object position can't be edited? I tested exporting to EPS and I'm still able to edit the object position no matter whether it's selected or not. I guess I'm missing something somewhere! Can someone please enlighten me?

In-built font recognition feature
malayali replied to malayali's topic in Feedback for the V1 Affinity Suite of Products
I know these online tools. This was just a feature request. And it comes useful when you need to find a matching font from the installed fonts collection on your system.- 4 replies

In-built font recognition feature
malayali replied to malayali's topic in Feedback for the V1 Affinity Suite of Products
I don't know much technical stuff behind it. But it does suggest fonts, matching the selection, from installed fonts and Adobe Fonts.- 4 replies

Would love to see a font recognition feature in Affinity products similar to that Match Font in Photoshop. Screenshot from Skillforge.

Animation Software

I'd love to get an After Effects alternative from Serif! 😊 -
Working previously with template file formats such as PSDT, AIT and so on initially I thought this is a bug. Now realized that I should have posted this in feature requests instead. 🙄 Maybe a checkbox in Preferences on how to deal with templates while opening them (prompt to New or Edit).

I don't know. Templates usually work like that and it makes the workflow much easier. Take an example of PSDT or any other template formats. They all prompt to a new document rather than to edit the template itself.

Just open the template, make changes and export as template with same name to overwrite it will do that thing.
