Not sure if this is a bug. I'm having a strange issue with marquee selection tool. When making a selection in this document, test.afphoto, position of selection is automatically shifting slightly. Any insight on why this is happening? Here's a screen-recording.

I'm facing this issue too. Hope it will get fixed soon.

I got an email notification of a post to this thread, timed at 10:15 today, commenting on my post, but the post is not appearing in the thread. Does anyone know why please?
William
Yeah, it was me. I had to delete it as there was a mistake on my part.
I tried your method, and it works on the browser. If the text is not so long, I usually use the glyph browser to type Indian languages as it will help to display ligatures correctly. So, no need to open it in a browser and print screen.

UPDATE
So, I've added this list to a GitHub repo and from now on updates will be here: https://github.com/zcraber/Freebies-Hub
Feel free to star it, fork it, make suggestions... or use however you want. -
@SPaceBarAny update on this? I checked with latest version 1.10.3.1191 and issue still exists.

+1 for ODT support.

If they don't have the necessary expertise to implement Indic languages in Affinity products, why're they not interested in hiring someone who's an expert? India is a huge and potential market for Affinity products. Many Indian designers are willing to leave the Adobe ecosystem to join Affinity, but this is the major issue that holding them back.

There are multiple coincident nodes distorting the shape:
Deleting the additional nodes will help but the result will still be quite poor. A better method is to enlarge the original stroke by a factor of 10 or 16 (with the ‘Scale with object’ option enabled) so that the ‘Expand Stroke’ procedure has more to work with. After expanding the stroke, shrink it back down to its original size: it still won’t be perfect but it should be close enough for most purposes.
Oh.. oops my bad. I thought @SPaceBarwas referring to deleting additional nodes before expanding the stroke. That got me confused.
Deleting the nodes from each expanded stroke is a hassle of work! Thanks for that tip about Scale with Object, @Alfred.

In the meantime, you'll need to go in a delete the additional nodes.
@SPaceBar I'm not sure which additional nodes you're referring to. Do you mind showing me an example please?

Did you create your curves using a specific brush?
Nope, I actually drew that using the Pen Tool.
QuoteYou seem to have a few additional nodes in these places.
I could only find 3 nodes in both strokes. Am I missing something?

Around 46 monocoloured social media icons. If I missed any important one, please let me know.
Most of them are sourced from SVG Repo & and Wikimedia Commons. Hope this will be useful to someone.

Oh, I would love to see a proper modernized After Effects alternative. I am surprised no-one has developed it yet, because nothing really comparable to After Effects exists on the market; it would be a successful product if someone would.
I know this is an old thread. But, maybe you can check out the new Cavalry app which aims to be an alternative to AE for motion design. Also check Natron, which is free & open source, for VFX.

Please consider adding Openclipart to the stock panel which has a huge library of free public domain vectors.

Did I ever recommend deactivating the Intel graphics card? That was the last thing on my mind.
Just tried. It didn't work either.

Hello @malayali
The only other thing I can think of is that a Windows system component (VC, VB or .NET) is faulty.
To be able to exclude this, you should use the Windows tool sfc.Click with the right mouse button on the Windows Start menu symbol. Select CMD (Administrator) from the list and type sfc /scannow in the new window and press Enter.
Already did that sfc scan before posting as I had some issues (like print screen using Snip & Sketch not working) after the Windows update. Thanks anyway.

I did a clean install of NVIDIA driver with DDU as Komatös suggested and issue still exists.

I noticed another issue with an SVG pattern downloaded from Pixabay.
Seamless-Geometric-Pixabay-Pattern-2.svg
Inkscape displays it correctly, while AD displays just the solid colour!

SVGs with gradient colours are getting imported as black. Thanks to Wosven, I didn't notice that gradient layer was hidden underneath the black layer.
Here's how it appears in Inkscape:
And here's it imported to AD:
I'm attaching the SVG as well.
I know similar SVG issues were reported in the forum before; so I hope the team will consider fixing this ASAP.
