  1. Early in the week I thought I might finish over the weekend but at this rate that's not going to happen. I'll get there though. Perhaps I'm wrong but buildings don't generally seem to impress anyone.
  2. Thanks Mark. Finished the main windows, have a couple of book covers still to do, they're pesky ones though although none are done perfectly, not that it's obvious when they're a small part of the overall image.
  3. I was going to simplify it but changed my mind. Have only finished the bottom left and top right of those windows. Still quite a few books window to redraw too. Who knew that bookshops had so many books! Back to using AD v1 as it's just nicer in a number of ways and as my requirements are simple it's no loss.
  4. The Lotus 108 track bike as ridden by Chris Boardman who won the 1992 Barcelona Olympics 4000m pursuit riding one and claiming a new world record on the way.
  5. That will do for now, I will have a look in a week or so and sort out bits I then decide that I hate!
  6. Yeah another Alfa! Just showing where I started blocking in and doing a few bits all over the place and then a week later. Can't decide on the lady so not quite finished either, perhaps a different pose, facing the car? Not sure. Anyway will update when I've decided and I'm done.
  7. Yes old english white. The trouble with them is they did love to rust, but all cars did back then. The Cooper and above have become very expensive now even basket cases, so it would have been a good investment if you stored it somewhere totally dry. I remember when you could pick them up for hardly anything. Whilst I’m not as tall as you I also remember banging my head on the roof going down typically bad back roads.
  8. I had an Island Blue mk2 Cooper at one time, so external hinges like the mk1 but with angular grille. Classic Mini’s are really fun to drive at normal speeds, 30 felt like 60. Not the most practical car though, tiny boot made even tinier with the fuel tank and battery. Not the safest either with just a single door skin between you and the outside world.
  9. They had them on all the time they were driving even on the streets in full daylight. It's been a very long time since I watched it and was sort of surprised that the mini's didn't feature until so late on in the film. That was a interesting piece. The MK1 grille is just so much nicer than the later one, not sure why they changed it.
  10. Had a quick scan through the film. I think they do all have headlight grilles, well the white and blue ones have so doubt the red one is any different. It’s just that they have their lights on except for when you initially see them parked and you can’t see them when they’re moving.
  11. Bit hard to be sure but doesn’t look as it has any there. Not that I’m going to change it but I should watch the movie tomorrow just out of interest.
  12. https://belcourt-production.s3.amazonaws.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/17101645/Italian-Job_The-web.jpg this shows the white mini with them in a film still https://www.slashfilm.com/wp/wp-content/images/The-Italian-Job-cars.jpg But this shows it without. But anyway it looks OK as it is.
  13. Ended up being a bit of a mix of styles which wasn't the idea.
  14. Perhaps the photo I used wasn’t a genuine Italian Job one then even though it said it was. Not the end of the world though, it’s still a mini and there wasn’t anything unique about the film ones.
  15. some photos I found show it with some without, could re-watch the film to be sure but it's fine. If I'm wrong then it's just a regular red Austin Cooper S.
  16. Found a really tiny reference photo and thought I'd see if it still looked like a car once I'd finished with it. I'm probably going to add a background as it's boring but not decided what yet. I will update when/if I do. No blurs in this one just gradients.
  17. Affinity didn’t start or spread the myth that it was an Adobe killer, a few users did and still do. if you are talking about functionality, they are clearly wrong. I’ve no doubt that there are pros who have switched as for some Affinity does enough and sharing master files isn’t a requirement for them.
  18. This was just a quick one that I decided to do for a futurism section on reddit a little while back. Really could do with a couple of adjustments that I will do sometime. Shock horror the AI crowd piled in proclaiming it was generated which seems to be the way now if it’s more complicated than a stick man. No point in trying to argue your case on there as they always know best.
  19. There's nothing that I've seen that will force Adobe customers to use the AI bits if they don't want to, just use it like you always have. So I'm not sure anyone's boycotting them just because of that, at least I've not read that anyone is. I think as far as AI goes, generation is a no for most but AI (not that it's really Al as it's not intelligence) for say adjustments isn't a problem.
  20. it’s not missing any wheels. It’s an old one that I don’t like enough, it’s just OK, to make any changes to it, sorry!
  21. The Mac icons have become progressively worse as time has gone by. Always used to be impressed with the design and care the designers used to take, not any more. They’re not even consistent in style these days (perhaps copying clueless MS!). But the smiley finder icon is a classic even if it’s not as good as it used to be.
  22. Not always some of it is simply bad and many would argue isn't art at all just rubbish.
