  1. I've been at this for 3 hours so I apologize if the tone comes across as frustrated. I've been researching anything and everything with Data Marge. I was able to successfully link the data file (.csv) in the publisher document. I can see the fields in the Fields window. But highlighting the text and then double clicking the field does not work to replace the placeholder text in the Master layout or the Page itself. Is there a known issue with Data Merge? I am on v1.10 on Windows 10.
  2. I purchased Affinity Designer through the Microsoft Store, but purchased Photo and Publisher through the website. I bought a new computer, and currently installing the apps. I was able to install AD and successfully sign on, but all of the links for Photo and Publisher are showing Buy Now, even though I am signed on under the correct email. Do I have to buy them all over again? Nevermind, I had to go to the Downloads and Product Keys and it was there. So confused.
  3. Thank you very much, Dazzler. Working with a combination of gridwork and a lot of clean up and filters I was able to create this. Thanks for your help. I ended up using a single cross stitch that I liked, extracted the highlights/shadows and then using it to fill in a canvas of cross stitches. Then traced edges then deleting the background, screen/multiply, and adding emboss/shadow effects on a fabric texture. Liked it very much. Thanks for saving me from having to deal with all of that fiddling.
  4. Hello all. I am working on a project that I'm not sure if there's a better way of doing it and i'm hoping to get some advice. The client wants a photo-realistic cross stitch of an image. I pixellated the image to use as a pattern (attached - just need the woman processed, not the background), and created a stroke x with an emboss effect and shadows. Now for the tedious part: I am placing the x on the pattern, recoloring the stroke to match the pattern color. One by one. At this point, it's probably easier for me to actually do an actual fabric cross stitch than the way I'm doing it. There's a lot of PSD actions out there to do the embroidery actions, but none work with AD/AP. I canceled my Adobe, so I don't have access to Photoshop. I looked for an embroidered cross stitch pattern that I can use as a clipping path, but couldn't find any. Overlaying a cross stitch raster pattern doesn't work either (and I can't find a cross stitch pattern large enough to overlay). At my wits end, although, putting the cross stitches on the pattern is pretty relaxing. Please help. Cross Stitch.afdesign
  5. Thank you so much for the quick replies, Lagarto! I tried the oversampling method and it looked better. Let me know if this is somewhat correct: Resize the document to 5120 x 2880 with all the curves scaling up. Click "Export", then select the JPG, then on the resample dropdown, select "bicubic" Export JPG Thank you, yes, I created this on AD from scratch. A lot of figuring out how to execute it and ended up using my favorite clipping method, instead of recoloring it.
  6. Hello, can someone take a look at these files and let me know what would be the best way to export the file. The exported image detail is not as crisp when exporting and I'm not sure if there are any other settings that I can use to export. When viewing through Affinity Designer, it is showing the detail without any issues (see the bow in the .jpg file and compare to the screenshot directly from my screen). The curves are not showing crisp lines and blow out when exporting. Any ideas? Symphony_Campaign4b.afdesign
  7. Hello, I keep getting an error message without any explanation what is happening. Is anyone else having this issue? I can export to PDF when exporting all spreads, but I cannot export the document as all pages. I need the pages to flow as one page each not as spreads. This is a new issue that I've seen. I am currently on version 1.7.3.481. Please advise if there are workarounds to avoid the error. Thank you. Proposal.afpub
  8. Thank you for the reply. I figured that would be the case, but I was hoping it won't be an issue. Oh well. It's a worthwhile application. I'll just have to purchase it again.
  9. Hi, so I have a weird issue. I purchased my Affinity Designer first on the Windows Store under my Windows sign on which apparently uses an outdated email address (that I don't have access to anymore). The Affinity Photo was purchased directly from the site with my current email address. I am looking to combine both accounts, but I'm not sure what would be the best way to do this. Do I have to repurchase AD? I can't sign on with my outdated email address and I'm getting ready to wipe my computer and reinstall my stuff and I'm worried that I can't access my AD. Thanks in advance for the advice. Maybe I'm just a dummy lol.
