  1. Has anyone else experienced any problems with selecting elements in AD layers? The difficulty occurs when selecting and rotating text boxes and vector elements on one layer above a background layer containing large vector shapes. Despite having the topmost layer selected and positioning the selection tool within the edges of the topmost objects, AD is selecting the background objects on the lower layer at least half of the time, and the faster I want to work, the more frequent the errors become. Any ideas? Also - in a file with two object that are both groups containing a vector shape and an area text box, how many clicks should it take, after opening the file, to select and edit one text box then the other? With the area text tool already active, I frequently need 6 or more clicks.
  2. Has anyone previewed OSX10.11 El Capitan? Are there any issues with Designer or Photo or is it likely to be safe to upgrade the OS?
  3. My latest project is a set of 30 maps for a series of small booklets. The project was started in iDraw and was transferred to Affinity Designer after much of the initial vector creation had been completed. I decided to make use of the styles panel to ensure consistency of colour and other attributes across all the maps, but to my dismay discovered that Affinity Designer's style palette does not a display an object's style after the style has been applied. I would not be the first designer to let an RGB black line slip through the net in an otherwise cmyk document - resulting in less-than-crisp line quality! Is there a fix in the pipelines, or a work-around in the meantime? Oh, and congratulations to the Affinity Team for winning the Apple Design Award!
