  1. I guess the problem is that the UI graphics are pixel based and you can´t (or at least shoudn´t) scale them as it won´t produce 100% perfect results and the Affinity team definitely wouldn´t be proud about not perfect icons.

(just image scaling an image by 1,5x and 1px would become 1.5pixels and a solid 1px line would have grey boarders added to it - just as an example)

....Don´t know if a simple second set of bigger icons would be an option.

I actually don´t understand why Affinity does not allow to change the UI color as others would like to do, this should be easy... maybe they want to keep a certain color identity, corporate design ... hmm

  2. the white you see as a background while creating the picture in AD is just the default canvas color.

As png has an alpha (transparency) channel - every part where you haven´t created something is transparent.

So the actual background in the png will be transparent.

You can go to Layer > new fill layer and make a white layer and drop it down - make it the base layer.

Then your background will be solid white even in png.

Or you could export to jpg. Then AD (or probably any software) will interpret the empty background as white space and make it white space in the jpg export.

I hope that cleared things up a bit? ;)

  3. you may be using the MacAppStore (MAS) Version which has´t the Anchor point function yet, it´s only present in the beta versions...

    https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/13037-affinity-photo-customer-beta-1352/

unless you don´t absolutely need them asap you may just stay patient as the custom rotation center will be part of the next update of the MAS version (free - of course)

If you´re using the beta you can try "Reset selection box" to get the CRC back into the middle....

Hope I could help you somehow ...
