I think no It's handy to have the option for constrained resizing (use the edges) or not constrained resizing (grad the middle ones) And if you fail and grab the wrong one and notice it while dragging you can still press the shift key and the behaviour will update/ switch without the need of doing the resize operation again - you don't have to re-drag the handle, I hope you know what I mean ;) Very easy and practical IMO

I think it was possible in the past but there was some weird bug so it's not there anymore but will be added at some point. It's requested every couple days or weeks by someone. Someday there will be an affinity DAM (news are announced for 2016 - only 70 days ahead) and then we'll hopefully have awesome DNG support ;)

Currently the only way to do it is to rotate your screen. I think some of the Samsung screens can do this. Or you can first develope it without any changes, then rotate it and then go back into the develope persona. I think it has to stay untouched because the current affinity photo can't export to DNG and it can't store these sort of side car files as well so your DNG will be safe ;)

dodge and burn layer is easy layer > new fill layer, make it 50%grey and use blend mode soft light (of course - just one possibility) then use the dodge and burn tool, holder alt while using one of the two switches to the other one temporally with custom keyboard shortcuts there is also a customizable keyboard shortcut for setting the foreground color to 50% grey, this comes with the next MAS update or you can use the current beta version

I´d say the ignore snapping alt function could be replaced (because one can also deactivate snapping in the top panel for this case) but if you need this feature all the time....well I don´t know what you need .....

for example: just type in *1.5 behind the values (just klick once and type away) you can constrain proportions with the lock/ chain symbol on the right side

IMO it´s recommended to use the afphoto format. With psd you´ll not get all the benefits that come with AP. I mean as long as you can avoid .psd I´d keep away from that as it might just produce problems. And I mean A_B_C´s workflow interpretation is very true, but I can also see your confusion tonyt! A_B_C #DAM I´ve already mentioned that in my fist post (which actually is the second one in this thread) - you´ll not see any post from me without mentioning it :D hahaha

I´m very sorry and feel pretty ignorant for not knowing that a vector scope already existed! But a request remains - could you pls add the skin tone line? Or make an option for that? Thank you very much! And I´ll promise to do better research in the future before posting requests :)

I´ve already set a timer for 2016 and it´s just 72 days ahead so it really is not far away! And maybe we´ll even get an beta for christmas, but if not it won´t be far off then! btw I have to reccomand the iPhone App "Timerange" by randex I use it all the time and have regular contact with the developer because of some bugs. He´s very friendly and tries to fix them. I absolutely don´t want to miss this App anymore (although it still has some minor glitches) ​- it also let´s me know that AP was released 3 months 1 week and 5 days ago :)

ok well that was already part of my knowledge but thanks. How would I set the maximum white point to 95% with in AP? I´ve only done some printing but I know that printers are limited in these extreme regions so it´s preferred not to pull into them, right?

I'd appreciate and Contrast invert adjustment with threshold a control. Say I'd like to have text on an image and I'd like to change when the color is inverted. It's obviously not the main purpose as it does not maximise contrast but sometimes a technically not ideal contrast setting might be more appealing. Thank you for your consideration.
