  1. It´s not like PS that can be called out of Lightroom (if you´ve both) That´ll happen with the Affinity DAM in 2016 (I guess, I hope :)
  2. OMG I just tried it and it does seem to work?!!! Why haven´t I read this earlier? Can even PS do this? Great! Big Thumbs up to the devs! (only available in the beta version)
  3. The 0 degree does not respond to the left image - at least you can't tell but I think it does not. You can only rotate and shear embedded documents, with the perspective distortion applied they'll get rasterised ... Wait - I'll have to try the live perspective filter - maybe that works now - that would be awesome!
  4. But if you rasterise it it's not linked anymore so it's not editable itself.
  5. Withoutthishttp://youtu.be/Jq6-AukXX5o The forum just doesn't get the links when inserted from an iPhone :/
  6. Yes You have to use the media browser and drag the images from there into the layer panel or do a right klick thing (don't remember) CTU Jack Bauer discovered this and made a video about it on YouTube
  7. The PS filter really is nice https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zHRDv1Q7hmU I'd also appreciate it and have thought about making a request ;)
  8. I think the stroke might be set to no fill but that does not mean that it does not have no width?
  9. Well you can just drag the mask on top (above) the actual layer and then maybe deactivate it. After you moved the image you can attach the mask back Not shire if this helps?
  10. Rasterising means to calculate every pixel and getting a "pixel grid" which is the photo itself Otherwise we use layers during the editing process - this is also the reason why you get the message "select pixel layers" - it's because your top layer is either an adjustment layer of a shape (thus a vector) 2nd AP does not seem to select the opened layer in first place so I would suggest to change this behaviour. If that's the case you just have to go into the layers panel and select the layer that's there - it's called "background" Of course AP is very different to Aperture, of course it's very similar to other more advanced editing apps. Just watch the affinity videos on Vimeo and some PS videos on YouTube (technically they're similar) and you'll get into it! You have to understand the layers panel in first place.
  11. Why would you ever have to buy the program if a new demo download would work again? Think about that man.
  12. If it's read as jog ist's not a raw at all Maybe your camera takes raw and jpg simulatiously and you choosed the jpg.
  13. You can now (in the beta/ next MAS version update) customise the decimal places displayed :) Settings > UI > decimal places for unit types Cheers :)
  14. MByte because they´re doing like a 2.0 version at once? :D but it really seems o be more buggy to me as well.....reading the forum there are a lot of "AD crashing" topics
  15. https://vimeo.com/116156558 here you go :) cheers :)
  16. The only way to not loose quality for further edit is to go for tiff or psd format. In tiff you'll loose all layer structure (maybe layered tiffs are supported in the future though) but also in psd you´ll loose some layers (live perspective distortion for example) If you choose afphoto you can´t preview those in normal resolution because it´s a closed format and not supported by any DAM product if you only export to jpg or png or whatever and you´re fine with that you can use almost any DAM to save the foto back into it but that´s not what one normally wants to do right? So I´m personally very exited about the Affinity DAM :)
