    roger that may I have to update this post then? ////// Depending on how you want to count things, there are at most 8 devs working on OS X at present (6 contributing to Affinity up-to 1.5, 2 working on future things), 4 working on Windows and 1 running and improving our regression testing suite. So we have at most 13 devs at this point. In all honesty, increasing the number of devs we have would be unlikely to make a positive effect on our productivity (from experience) so we're very happy as we are - we all have areas of expertise and we rely on each other to be passionate and effective about what we're doing and it seems to be working https://affinity.ser...ssues/?p=113170 //////

    Well I agree that it is probably very capable And I would not expect affinity photo to do it all/ do. it exactly the same way. But definitely good as a starting point, to implement a simplified version of it together with other options. 300€ for this usecase are out of scope for me at the moment, I would rather learn to use Davnci resolve as it has proper masking e.g. as well.     Just wanted to say the same :D haha Guess at least that is proof for that the software is desireable ;) How well does a cheap software have be so that someone cracks it, I think that is a homage to affinity ;)

    just received a Faux 96 Pack and have to say the "Rain of November" is really nicely done! and the overlay textures may come in handy at some point as well, I wonder how you created them ;) thanks for sharing!

    https://vimeo.com/194652359 this official video covers your subject and will get you started AP just got a lot more options which might also help you to avoid mistakes in first place at any selection, to move it you can: >> Press Q for the quickmask mode >> Then you can drag, expand, transform the selection with the usual keys (alt, cmd, shift and dragging) hope this helps cheers

    Fact is If you come home from a so called "shoot" with a certain amount of pictures, AP alone is a very poor choice (any operating system) Additional free software is mostly poor choice and good software is either rented (LR in which case you most likely also have got PS, and we are talking about the future so using an old LR is not an option). Or expensive (C1, other RAW ninja or something like that). So the affinity DAM together with AP should allow to manage professional grade shoots/ edits. Period.

    Publisher just got pushed back again and is now scheduled for 2018 and the dam comes after that so a video cutter might run on quantum computers at the time of it's release Cheers

    there is no point quality wise in moving into the develop persona after the development has already taken place (which is the case when you are in the photo persona) @HVDB and you don´t need to unlock the background layer, you just need to select it cheers
