  1. thanks for the idea maybe you can look into doing those with embedded comments and clipping to make them even easier to use more Information here: embedded documents how to: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/16056-simple-letterhead-mockup/?p=103109 clipping: (the second part, using a custom pen tool shape should work) https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/32113-how-to-crop-destructively-and-how-to-clip-mask/?p=155890 cheers
  2. Good point I remember times where I did not even know what shadows midtones and highlight means Cheers
  3. Here is a very informative thread about your question https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/22997-colourise-a-black-and-white-photo-in-affinity-photo/ Cheers
  4. Can you provide the source image? I highly doubt that this is because of affinity photo. Seems like you either messed up something about rasterisation or used nearest neighbour algorithm for something. Cheers
  5. sure just apply it in the same way as if the lower curves layer was a mask layer, which it actually is :P partially preview/ review using alt key is not possible because it only shows the mask without the effect of the adjustment layer alpha modification cheers
  6. every adjustment layer inherits a mask and so does the curved adjustment he modifies the mask of the lower curves adjustment using the alpha channel of the upper curves adjustment

    AP - Orion

It has been a while I think between 20 and 30 but I really doubt that the ISO regions which you would have to enter to get 200 shots would give you anything than black an white image tonaly :D I was at around ISO 12 000 on an aps-c body I think. Cheers
  8. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/35573-touch-bar/?p=175049 can confirm that

    AP - Orion

Well ronnyb I don't agree I actually tried this approach Is it better to expose correctly in camera and then tweak afterwards or is it better to bump the ISO and shoot more pictures in the same timeframe (which is limited because of star trails occurring). My result was that the in camera version was quite a bit ahead of the stacked version in noise and color. A high ISO limits the dynamic range of the camera, at least this would explain my results. Maybe there is some sweet spot in between which I have not found yet. Afterall it is easy to just try it for yourself. Anyway If time does not matter and you can use the same optimal low ISO settings and shoot more pictures and then stack then, it's perfekt. Cheers
  10. you can just .zip the file cheers
  11. finally got a hardware version of it :D :P it's not yet really well done in Affinity but generally across other apps not as bad as the press suggested it was I really think Dave Harris nailed it. @VIP about the MagSafe VS USB C, I thought just the same as you but USB C is actually really rugged and it is comfortable that you can plug in from both sides now depending on where you're located. And a friend could now charge his Lenovo Thinkpad with my cable, first time this kind of compatibility happens :D :D cheers
  12. you should better press the remove chromatic aberration/ fringing button in AP, as it is currently shown, AP is worse than ID and On1 as I see it, look at the fringing at the transition between wood and snow and the needles at the top left cheers
  13. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/34835-two-questions-about-affinity-publisher/?p=174727 this is an issue in several places at Serif, but not only at Serif for sure :D :P cheers
  14. just had a quick look at the touch bar features but not very satisfied, using a graphic tablet and modifying the opacity while drawing works e.g. but the UI field on the top does not update or using the inpainting brush you just have the normal brush hardness etc. controls. I'd want to have the option to choose "sample from below" in there as well. (reminds me of how I asked about if it was possible to get a non destructive smudge tool, please  ) and I don't think the icons. are intuitive. Look at PDF Expert, they have great icons for the touchbar and really good and useful features. (notice how beautiful their scaling indicator for the pencil width is, not just a boring strip but a real ruler so to say) - please improve the look of your sliders the text tool has no useful features whatsoever, just duplicates of keyboard shortcuts, again you could take at least some inspiration from PDF Expert and also an option to have a persistent touchbar with customizable quick selection tool where you could put some macros for quick selection or an export button which triggers a specific export preset or a history slider/ buttons or some of the buttons that are currently in the "pointer" view like adding a mask, but as an option to have them persistently I think you know most of the things already but if you did not I hope you agree to some points. for anyone considering upgrading to a new macbook: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/35502-affinity-macbook-pro-13-2016-review/?p=174691 cheers
  15. there also was/ is an error in the affinity designer workbook where it is said/ says that AD supports 16bit CMYK so the marketing people were thinking just as you do :D :P cheers
  16. Sorry I don't get this comparison st all If it takes 300 people 6 years and they are 100 times more than yours Then it would take your people 600 years? So your product is most definitely of another kind than theirs or what is the case? Cheers
  17. Anyway it is propably offtopic at this point and better to create a separate topic or join an existing one (I am pretty sure there have been some already) Cheers
  18. well he was right about one and wrong about another thing, no need for harsh comments cheers
  19. guess metal is indeed not used as MattP stated here https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/9997-metal/?p=82403 MikeW, I honestly don't see any rabbit whole nearby. cheers
  20. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/13646-feature-request-cmyk-16-bit/?p=60314 yes cheers
