  1. well you currently have 8 tickets on a page and turn of/ on every ticket separately? so this can be enhanced save a single ticket and than use this document as a placed document (go to document > place, this will place the ticket-document into your page-document, it is not linked externally but embedded into the page document, you can then replicate/dublicate the placed document) to replicate, https://vimeo.com/110134439 or use symbols https://vimeo.com/182383520 you can then edit one instance and every of the 8 tickets on the page will change cheers
  2. could be but is very unlikely, if anything, they will have an adobe live demo, see last time
  3. This is great Ben. I actually had it happen that I still had to many options enabled, opened a complex document and got stuck. So this is a good feature to prevent this, thanks! I personally always have all options enabled as I usually don't do complex things hehe but not an ideal workflow of course.
  4. With great power comes great responsibility, but I remember you talked about implementing a timeout function that exits the snapping calculation asa they become to excessive. Is this still on the plate? Seemed very reasonable to me.
  5. well I'm honestly not that much of a Designer..... SoftProof, ColorProfiles, Performance, ColorSpaces, Export....well...most of the things are actually the same in AD. The tools in Designer are generally a bit easier I'd say, (crop and clip is not easy but is the same in AD and AP) there are certain design workflows like nesting and using shapes that I may know to some extend but there are for sure much better tutorials about them out there form guys like frankentoon or Paolo. sorry anyway I think I'll put [AP + AD] in the title because I realize that most things mentioned in here are shared among both cheers :)
  6. @madame @rmar THANK YOU both very much appreciated! I'm also already taking notes about "how to not use AP - improve workflow" and hope I can share it soon :) cheers :D
  7. GIMP generally excludes more metadata than AP, maybe got to Export > "more" and uncheck the "metadata" checkbox so that AP removes these things, maybe Facebook and wp are happier with this. I would put the image into imageoptim before uploading anyway so maybe try this out as well sorry for no clear answer :D
  8. this indicates that the exported file is in the wrong color space, Apple RGB instead of sRGB however, looking at the files, all files are actually sRGB, checked with Affinity and exiftool so I'm a bit puzzled. hope we can get this resolved somehow though
  9. great effort! I'd suggest to add links to the appropriate official video tutorials, this really makes use of the digital format you are in anyway https://vimeo.com/channels/affinitydesigner (link embedded does not work)\ example video: https://vimeo.com/191946998 cheers I made an attempt to do a similar thing for Affinity Photo //for more tips, KLICK <<
  10. well the thing is, affinity designer does not manage the selection + rotation well but it does manage it as soon as you group it so this should be really easy to optimize and thus should be looked at cheers
  11. very good observation, I can certainly exactly reproduce it on my end in the latest beta as well. so now we just need a moderator or dev coming along to report the issue :D cheers
  12. hmmm, yeah  actually Dave is around sometimes and Matt is also around in the Share your Work area but the Photo team is mostly dead atm (even no change log in two releases) :o
  13. any chance you have to many snapping options enabled? works totally fine on my side, just tested in in the latest beta on Mac
  14. realistically speaking for photo manipulation this will be nightmare whilst for graphic/ web design it might be acceptable https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/32907-affinity-photo-performance-comparison-data-sheet/?p=159980 in this performance comparison are no pentium processors yet but I would expect it perform worse than an i3 processor for photo manipulation you definitely want something like an i5 quad core or better. GPU does not really matter. cheers
  15. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/16281-pen-tool-lens-correction/?p=73828 I had pretty much the exact same idea, I think this could be a great tool although for your use case there are already workarounds mentioned in the link above cheers
  16. but c4d would not be able to import the afdesign file anyway so this would not help with your workflow I guess, TIFF is even pure pixel so would definitely not help. maybe try PDF SVG or EPS, I guess any of them will be compatible and will preserve most of your vector stuff, PDF being the best and EPS the worst cheers
  17. https://affinity.serif.com/de/photo/ipad/ mobile versions are coming a catalogue software as well https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/13792-dam-affinity-lightroom-killer-request/?p=61067 cheers Rob
  18. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/32113-how-to-crop-destructively-and-how-to-clip-mask/?p=155890 I tried to cover the crop options in AP and AD as extensively as possible in this written piece so if you are looking for further explanations this will be for you :) cheers
  19. there are two reasons, now really one is left whitebalance in the RAW file, the R,G,B "pixels" are separated so you can control the dominance between those, this is not possible afterwards because these pixels are merged during demosaicing (the white balance in the photo persona is not the same, it just tries to trick the effect but is not accurate, therefore it only has a % and not an K measurement) before we had 32bit in the photo persona, there was a second reason. RAW is up to 16bit linear data and does not fit even into 16bit developed data in the photo persona. Therefore shadows that were lost in the RAW persona could not be recovered afterwards. see here https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/15873-coming-2016-32bit-hdr-editing-sneak-preview/?p=72119 If you develop into 16bit this is still the case. see here https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/19612-raw-or-jpeg/?p=92583 and further similar topics: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/18030-workflow-confusion-redundancies/ https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/19612-raw-or-jpeg/ cheers //for more tips, KLICK <<
