  1. From the sound of crickets, it looks like I'm the only one who's interested in this. Oh, well!
  2. It would be wonderful if you could pre-define a set of document sizes that you use a lot. For instance, I frequently need to make a document of 940x788, 96dpi and would like to have the "create artboard" option checked. Love to be able to give this a name and have it appear in the dropdown option list
  3. When you're in the Liquify Persona, it would be very cool (pardon the pun) if you could keep the freezing tool within the bounds of your current selection. See attached.
  4. It would be nice (if it doesn't already exist and I've just missed it) to be able to toggle on & off the spell check feature. The squiggly red line can be really distracting when I'm trying to look at the design, especially when the word is purposely missing letters.
  5. What I'm looking for is a consistent means of selecting "Bitmap" as a Fill option. I'd like to see "Bitmap" as another tab, after Gradient, or as a selection on the Gradient tab itself. I'm not seeing a Bitmap option at all in Photo, at least not as a contextual option when "Fill" is chosen.
  6. Currently, the only way to fill an object is to use the Gradient tool. I'd love to see the option when you click on the Fill tab - you'd see None, Swatches, Color, Gradient.
  7. It just struck me how handy it would be to be able to set a transparency or gradient vector on an object, and then go to the Transform window to specify the angle and position of the vector. Could be especially interesting when Ctrl-J'ing (new phrase :) )
  8. For what it's worth, I've made the switch to Photo & Designer and haven't regretted it yet. I've actually been VERY impressed with the speed and responsiveness of the Affinity development team. They're pulling off a minor miracle with what they've accomplished so far in the time span they've had. Considering the entrenched lead that Adobe has, to see this kind of software suite come up out of nowhere and provide a very credible challenge is amazing and encouraging. I, for one, plan on supporting Affinity from now on. I've also convinced my workplace to install them both on my work computer and they've been very pleased with the results. Does either program provide every single bell, whistle or widget that the Adobe programs have? Of course not. That's beyond foolish to expect, given the time span that Adobe has been working on them. However, to claim that the Affinity team has somehow lost enthusiasm or steam is utterly wrong. They're chugging along and are providing a wonderful product that's only improving with every point release.
  9. Interesting ideas. I like the ones you specified for the modifier keys. I could see myself using them.
  10. Aha! Thank you - just tried it and it works. Until it gets fixed, this will save me some hair-pulling :D
  11. When you've created a new file from the clipboard and then want to save it, currently you're unable to use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+S to save it - you have to use Ctrl+Shift+S for Save As... What I'd like to see is Photo understand that, "Hey! Even though the person behind the keyboard has hit Ctrl+S to Save, I, being the ridiculously cleaver and talented package of software code, AKA Affinity Photo, understand that they're actually trying to Save As...! I will graciously translate their ham-handed keyboard floundering to the correct form and open up the Save As... dialog for them!" :)
  12. When you're using the circular selection option, I'd love to be able to use Shift+Ctrl to constrain it to a perfect circle, centered at my cursor. Also, once the circular area is selected, it would be great if you could constrain the movement to horizontal or vertical or 45 degrees by holding Shift, like you can with object movement.
  13. Many, many moons ago, I used Fractal Design Painter (now Corel Painter) and it had a nice feature called "image hose," that sounds very much like what you're asking for, only it dealt strictly with bitmapped designs. Being able to spray vector objects would be great in AD or AP!
  14. When you're drawing a shape, or already have one, it would be fantastic if there was a way to see the angle between two node points, with respect to either a horizontal or vertical axis. It would be extremely handy to make sure your shape has the same angle of slant as other parts of your design. I'm aware of the slant transform option, but this is something that would be specific to selected nodes. Thanks!
  15. Hi! Is there any way to limit the (in my case, disastrous) effects of "Select All" to the current Artboard? I was working on one Artboard, didn't like the results I had and did "Select All" and deleted. After I worked on it some more and stupidly saved the file, I came back to it today and realized that I had zorched all of the other Artboards in the process. I know I can toggle the option for saving History to the file, but I haven't been doing it on a regular basis, since I've been working on pretty large files. So, do I take this as just another hard-earned lesson in watching what the heck I'm wiping out, or is there a possibility of having the option to partially "idiot-protecting" a large project? Thanks! :) I realize now that there's a partial solution to protect myself from myself, and I should get into the habit of doing - toggle the "lock" icon on each of the other Artboards. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!
  16. Ahhh!!! Thank you!!! :) (insert picture of me feeling stupid)
  17. Hmmm ... Looks like I've got a great future as a cricket farmer! :) Does anyone have anything to say to put me out of my self-induced misery? Either it's a stupid idea and should be dropped, or it's a feature that I don't know how to activate. Any takers? Thanks!
  18. Love to be able to treat the line of a transparency as something that could be curved and manipulated with the node tool. If this is something that will be addressed by the gradient mesh feature that's coming, never mind! :)
