I agree that more filters for designer for iPad would be great; the iPad versions are not connected in a trinity of apps such their PC equivalent are, therefore changing apps for simple task is frustrating and time consuming.
Exactly man, I was tempted to request StudioLink for the iPad platform but realized that may be too much of a stretch😄.. I assume iPadOS could make such a feature near impossible to implement for real time applications..
Still would be nice to have though!
Like having one giant App for everything!

To simplify your life, the attached file contains all filters.
To use it from Designer (without need to switch to Photo), you could:Wow thanks!
This is super helpful!
Appreciate the trouble you put into this,
Many thanks!

Files are strictly not 'saved' until you save them using the Save menu option. Once you do this (and I suggest this is the first thing you should do after creating a new file), you can save to Cloud or any location. Then delete the the file from the project screen (it is just a 'sandboxed' version, and use Open from Cloud to reopen the previously 'Saved' new file. Now all edits will be saved back to Cloud/chosen file location. The Project screen file icon will also now be linked to the Cloud/chosen file location. This negates the need to batch save Projects. Just delete from Project screen when finished. The 'saved' file will already be in Cloud/chosen location. It would be nice though to have a batch 'delete' for Project screen.
File management is still somewhat not very helpful and actually counter-intuitive sometimes (like having ‘close’ instead of ‘delete’) .. it definitely needs work..
I have a lot of projects I need to backup right now and I’m here learning all those documents weren’t really saved but just there in the app’s sandbox ? 😨
Files App would have been much handy here for some file management batch operations but alas, it can’t access the sandbox .. (was hoping to find the ‘unsaved’ files in there)
Affinity must realize more and more people would use these apps professionally ( they built them to be that capable ) so these half thought-out file management solutions can’t cut it anymore..
Imagine the horror of having to manually save all the projects I have , recreating the folder structure inside of Files before finally being able to make my backup, I have quite a lot of projects 😨
The current solution is NOT very helpful..
This guy describes what it’s like to work with files created by affinity apps right now,
couldn’t have explained it better..
though positive-toned , reveals how the current system is just not reasonable..

It really needs work,
Help us 😩

Hi AyoMartins,
Welcome to the forums
Unfortunately there is no way to avoid the background colour change I'm afraid as when you create an Artboard the background becomes a pasteboard.
Thanks
CIt can be a ‘pasteboard’ and still be dark can it not?

Does anyone know a way to make the background gray levels within Affinity Designer for iPad consistent, so it looks the same even when you create a new artboard?
Right now, the gray gets a lot lighter when I add a new artboard to my document and I cannot seem to find a way to make it darker.
I’ve attached a short recording of my screen to illustrate the problem.
Thanks for any help!
Also, Affinity Designer doesn’t remember my settings within the App when I close and open it again.
I normally have to turn on snapping every single time I lunch the app, it’s become a small annoyance.

UI is smaller, nice! Everything feels smoother and much more refined,
great update serif!
How do I use the new alignment widget on iPad?
Sharpen Filter right inside Designer..

Oh yes Sir!
I do use photo when working on Fully Raster based edits sir,
it’s just much of my vector design work also requires incorporating images too, and I was already used to doing basic sharpening operations right in my design tool from my CorelDraw days without having to switch to a full fledged photo editor and switch back in for such a small task.
Because It did save quite a lot of time sir! 😄
