  1. It's been a long time since my first Beta version of APublisher and footnotes & endnotes not here yet. I have put off the book I wanted to do in APublisher, (it's still in PagePlus) but i have faith knowing Serif for so many years.
  2. i rather have a drag and drop feature from APhoto to Apublisher rather than the work appearing simultaneous in both programs. APublisher needs footnotes, end notes, etc. but doin't think the other two need that feature. But, to drag from APhoto an image I was working on and place it into APub where I want it would be great. I'm new to these three programs and how they work together so will take time.
  3. ok, found the info and will not be able to scan from within the Affinity suite. Serif blamed it on Microsoft windows. Works with a Mac.
  4. in help 'scanning images' has no results and I need to scan as much as I need footnotes in APub. Sandy
  5. Thanks, but I have a PC and there is no Aquire. Sandy
  6. Hi, I'm a long time Serif user and now Affinity. My question ? Does any of the Affinity programs have the ability to scan an image. PP9 has this ability, but APublisher and APhoto doesn't seem to have this function. I'm about to purchase ADesigner in addition to the other two and really need scanning capability in all three. 7. Yet, the fact remains that I can not use Affinity Publisher, (purchased for this project) to finish and publish my project and will continue to use the software I started with. I am a big supporter of Serif and have all their software before Affinity and will continue to wait, hope and monitor this discussion.
  8. Can one of you direct me to Affinity feedback link. Affinity Pub crashes every time I try to import an image from iCloud Photos. Thanks, couldn't find my way there. Sandy
  9. As I've stated I have gone back to PagePlus to finish the project which needs footnotes and endnotes. It seems to me that Affinity developed the graphic capabilities first and focused on integrating that software. Still, Affinity Publisher has great potential and plan to continue the upgrades. It's so far so good.
  10. I really appreciate the answers here that have pointed out that APub is still in development and Adobe has had all those years to get to where they are now. I will be patient, continue the upgrades and use PagePlus X9 for now. By not trying to use Affinity Publisher for my books full of footnotes, endnotes and references I'll use it for small projects just to learn the software. I am very impressed with and support the whole Serif/Affinity software group.
  11. Without footnotes & endnote I'm going back to PagePlus X9, but will continue to upgrade until AP meets my needs.
  12. Yes, I was aware that 7 has to be ended, but I don't like 10 and I thought I had some time before the transition. And I may be in some trouble if some of my "old" unbloated software doesn't work anymore. I work on a PC and have excellent security. Right now I'll just struggle away with Affinity products. -Sandy
  13. Me too, more than urgent! The book I'm working on is in the older PagePlus where there is no problem with footnotes or endnotes. In purchasing Affinity Publisher I had hoped for an even more robust publishing program and features I need just not there. Is there a fix coming soon? Sandy Rivkin (Chichester)
  14. I must have footnotes and endnotes as in PagePlusX9. Is this going to happen? I have a purchased version 1.71.404 after all the beta versions. I can't proceed w/o this function. -Sandy
