I bought a new Microsoft Surface Pro 6 and am evaluating Affinity to replace Lightroom. I'm having a small issue. I used the smart selection brush to select a portion of a photo, then created a layer mask and made some changes. Now I want to select a different section of my background photo and work on it but I can't figure out how to dismiss, or release, the previous selection. It just stays there with the dotted lines around my selected area.
I'm using the Surface Pro in tablet mode with the Microsoft pen/pencil.
