Finally getting around to replying to your suggestion about system prefs color setting.... No, it's set to blue. I am shopping for a new Mac, so we'll see what difference that makes. Thanks for the reply. Happy hopeful new year.

Is there a fix to this bug in 1.8.6 yet? I wasted a lot of time checking every conceivable setting and puzzling what I was doing wrong! OS 10.11.6 El Capitan.
