Yeah so exporting persona is overcomplicated ... I did instagram grid design, and did all slices "from layer"... and it doesn't export all layers... I know that manually creating that slices is an answer... but why... why I don't have an option to create slice from layer as a selection and it exports everything that is visible in this slice (two visible options that we have are strange - gives us an option that layer that we mark is exported in every slice that is visible on). Please give us an option to change how slicer behaves. Then I could easily create slices that does what they should do. I don't think this is intuitive - exporting layers is not exporting slice from layer. This is one of those rare moments when I see that illustrator did something better then affinity  they really nailed exporting. Simple and easy. For some reason "export persona" always confuses me.

Just making the transition from Illustrator, and after doing help searches, I do not think Affinity has an option to Simplify Paths, like illustrator does?
 
Think this would be a really good feature to implement, as converting strokes creates zillions of nodes, and need to simplify these.

I do not think you would significantly solve the problem with a new computer. Your integrated graphics appears to be the weakest component, but I have a hunch this problem is manifesting some kind of bottleneck in the CPU. Your CPU is not cutting edge but still perfectly capable. Even if you were to put a lot of money into a CPU twice as fast (just to throw out simple numbers just for illustration), cutting that typing delay in half from, say, 30 seconds to 15 seconds is a big theoretical gain but still does not give you a realistically workable solution.
No, rather, I do think this is an opportunity for Serif to get a private copy of that file and see if there is some kind of bug, or if not, some alternate layout approach to suggest.

Hi all. I've written on this topic before, on one of the threads here. Although I can't say how well this will work for any of you, I've found a free software, that does do select fill, stroke etc by same color, and at least for my simple purposes the software will work for me. It's called Inkscape, and I'm sure you can do a search and find it. Maybe a little competitive pressure will get Affinity to move on this.

I have been searching for a while now, but cant find any "select same colour" feature. All I can find is a feature request post from 4 years ago asking for this. Surely this rudimental feature has been implimented by now. Selecting and replacing a colour is one of the main benefits of vector work, to not have this seems crazy to me. I know the dev team is small and  your product is so superior to Adobe is so many ways, but missing fundamental features like this makes it unusable for real world projects. 
I hope I am being a dullard and a select same colour feature is available. If not please add it to the top of the list of features in the next update.
