thanks v_kyr... so from the first link, about using Get Info to check the option to put the menu bar below the notch, it doesn't work.

attached is ap2 menu bar (doesn't show notch of course)

is it possible to customize the menus?

i have a macbook pro 14 and with the infamous 'notch' the menu takes up almost the entire top of the screen, forcing some icons on the right to not show.

is it possible to customize the menu in some way (combine, remove, etc)?

didn't read all this, but just had to do this and with some of what i read, was able to do it.

i cropped a 'background' layer to the size i wanted on the original. i copied that and did new from clipboard to make the new doc the right size.

i then went back to the original and multi-selected all the pieces i wanted to have on the new doc at the right doc size and did edit/copy.

went to new doc and did paste.

voila.
