Konstantinos reacted to Digitally Fearless in Affinity and Big Sur problems
So I have been using Big Sur for two weeks now. My slowdown in Final Cut Pro seems to have been fixed, but Affinity Photo is almost unusable. Sometimes there is a delay when moving something. When I select the color box on top, I have to wait for it to open. So many problems that I never had before. Does anyone know if I can go back to a previous version of Affinity Photo?

@Konstantinos
I suspect many things will become clearer once Publisher is launched on Wednesday.
Having said that, the three applications in the Affinity Suite share the same file format. You will be able to start a document in one application and then open the document in another application for editing.
If baseline grids are important to your design workflow, it appears that you would need to compose your pages in Publisher.

@Konstantinos
If I were you, I would do one of two things:
a) hang your text frames from the same hang line and make sure that the leading for you body copy is constant (use a paragraph style) b) if you require some kind of grid, go into the Grid and Axis Manager and set up the major spacing and subdivisions to suit the intended leading of your body copy. -

As you already have some of @paolo.limoncelli’s DAUB brushes, you may be interested in the pencils that he shared here.

There are a bunch of different brushes posted in the forums resources section, you can look and search there for something maybe already available. - Other than that AD can import .ABR brush files, so if you find some for your needs matching brush in Adobe format (there are thousends), you can adapt und reuse that. In case procreate and clip studio can export brushes as .abr files, you can reuse those then for AD.

Hyperlinks are supported in the 1.7 beta, but only in Affinity Publisher at this point. Still, that will give you a non-Adobe alternative.
