Thanks to @paschulke2 for this. If you roll back to 1.6 from a Time Machine backup, you can recover your preferences, macros, etc by restoring these files and folders: ~/Library/Preferences/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto.plist ~/Library/Containers/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto/ ~/Library/Application Scripts/com.seriflabs.affinityphoto and all "xxx.com.seriflabs …" folders in ~/Library/Group Containers/ "~" is the placeholder for your home folder.

Thanks @paschulke2! I restored those files and folders from Time Machine and I now have all my preferences, macros, palettes, shortcuts, etc back where they should be. I'm back on 1.6.7 for now and hoping the 1.7 issue can be resolved quickly.

No beta. I clicked through from the email and bought 1.7 from the Affinity store. I've now asked to return it and get a refund.

Is there a way to recover these? I've tried going back to 1.6.7 via Time Machine but that does not reinstate them. Are they lost forever?

Severe slow down for me too. Plus all my macros, palettes, keyboard shortcuts, etc, got toasted in the update.
