Removing background color in text frame

Thank you so much. I spent an hour on this yesterday, but so easy now that you explained it! -
I just started using Affinity Publisher Beta so forgive my ignorance. When I add a text frame, I cannot find where I can make the background of the frame transparent. The background of the frame has a brown color. Thanks in advance.
