  1. I did a full reinstall today. So far so good. Stress test over the next few days.
  2. It is a bit odd. Designer seems to have the ability to crop a layer image, with its Vector Crop tool, but Photo doesn’t. It’s crop tool only has the ability to crop the entire document. I can live with that but if you don’t have both apps it needs a bit of a work around.
  3. Ok, I mean if I have an image on a layer, can I just crop that image? Because selecting the Crop tool (Photo) selects the whole document.
  4. Yes, that's what I thought. Or I could just wait until the new iPad Mini 7 comes out later. this year 🙂 I did a full reset about a week ago, and it was fine for a few days. The next step is a complete reinstall. A pain, but not as bad as having to do it on a desktop
  5. The cropping tool is marvellous, but I don't seem to be able to crop just a layer. Is there something I'm missing?
  6. No. I’ve been using it for years now. No problem until after the last update of iOS I think. Now it locks up. Won’t display folders. In Affinity and other apps go to save and it won’t display folders. The only way to get it working again is a restart of the iPad. It’s a proper nuisance. Dosent matter what I’m trying to access. Sometimes it’s fine. Sometimes it’s not.
  7. The Apple iOS Files app is super buggy. Can I substitute it for another Files app from the App Store and use it as the default. All the Affinity apps appear to use the Apple Files app by default, and as a result Affinity won’t work because the Files app won’t work. I thought I had it fixed. But nope.
  8. Great. That’s why I put my solution up.. in case others could use it.
  9. A solution has been found. Amazing. I went into the iPad Settings, and selected Reset. The one just before the one that cleans it off ready for resale. Gritting my teeth I hit ‘do it’ Well after a time the iPad was restarted and it’s like a different iPad. ! Everything works- I had to reset a few options like permissions, wallet and so on, but. Not as much as I thought. However. Affinity apps are now working perfectly, along with Files. everything is working better than it has done for years. I’ve been using this daily for years now, and I guess it was just so full of junk files it couldn’t continue. So thanks for the ideas above folks. I appreciate it. I can report that a Reset is a good fix if it’s not been done before on a busy system. It fixes lots of things, and gives the iPad a new lease of life..
  10. I guess I’m lucky. I can’t make it crash on these tests. Dealing with Files, yes sometimes. But otherwise.
  11. Yes, but I can't make it crash. Not that I want to mind... but let me put it this way. It's working fine here. Tested everything you mention and then some.
  12. Ok. I’ve tried modifying the gear design on an iPad, an M2 Mac, and Windows 11. all in the latest Beta. Sorry. I can’t get it to crash. Everything seems to work as it should, including altering.
  13. Not having any problems so far with it. There are a few non curve elements, that convert to curves ok. saving, exporting. No issues yet. I’ll have a closer look.
