I recently went from an iPad 6 to an iPad Air 4 and am blown away by the increased performance. The iPad Air 4 doubles the RAM and the A14 Bionic processor chip is amazing. I got the Apple Pencil 2 with it and am super pleased. Running Affinity Photo is a very stable and smooth experience.
Haven’t used a desktop or laptop for 6 years now and don’t miss them one bit.

You could duplicate smaller shape, subtract one  from larger shape to create a border.

Hi all, here's something very different from my usual and a bit of a personal challenge on a recent illustration project. Denman Digital in Vancouver hired me to create a series of images for a project they were doing for their client the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN) here in Canada. The Hunting in Canada Field Guide lays out the traditional methods, tools and prey Indigenous people used and continue to use to survive and thrive in Canada's northern frontiers. This project is a web companion piece to their Moosemeat and Marmalade adventure cooking show on APTN.  https://aptn.ca/moosemeatandmarmalade/
Almost every aspect of these illustrations utilized the pixel persona in Designer. I could've use Photo exclusively for this but I am much more comfortable and familiar with Designer and the process is basically the same. I created a bunch of new custom brushes as well as used many of Designers default and user-contributed brushes for this. I was rather pleased with the final outcomes and have since started adding more of this pixel painting workflow to my usual work.
Rather than upload a bunch of images here I'll point you to a few links on my Behance site below and leave just a few images here.
The project was broken down into 3 areas: Prey, Hunting Tools and Hunting Strategies.

Much thanks to Denman Digital and APTN. :-)

    Hi there!
I just wanted to share a list of sites that offer Public Domain Pictures in good quality. Some of them are listed in this thread, but I wanted to add more and publish a list of this kind of content (CC0 License, and also a High Permissive Licenses sites). Also, consider that there may be additional restrictions implied on these pictures, like brandings, buildings, people, etc.
Also, please read each site's Licensing in order to ensure what can and can't be done.
Edit: Since I crated this Topic, some things have changed, so: I removed non-working links and added a few more:

So its probably snapping to the grid, if you go to View > Show Grid there will be a grid intersection at the yellow box.
    Try these settings in snapping

Just for fun I made some photos of German signs and converted them to hard black-and-white. I even made some book-mockups (10 points if you can see which book I used as stand-in ).
Looking forward to hear your feedback! The mockups are made with affinity, some black-white conversions where done with the Apple-Photos plugin of Affinity.
I've added the mockups below, some more info is in my blog-post and all black-and-white-photos are here.

@johnnT I didn’t see your post for some reason
I’m not saying no to signs, it’s just something I thought would be funny as a title for a book. Most signs tell you not to do something, or that it’s not allowed: “nein” is the very abbreviated version of that
