Prevent the rotation handle from blocking measurement pop-ups

When I nudge an object using arrow keys, the rotation handle can cover the pop-up with distance measurement, which can get pretty annoying. I can choose to hide the selection while dragging, but this doesn't work for nudging. Maybe it would be possible to show these pop-ups on top of the rotation handle when nudging, rather than underneath? Or move it to the side so that it is possible to read at all times?
