Hi all. Just to follow up - I closed down the Mac and the huge folder was empty after restart. I've only ever opened one of the sample files so not sure that could be the main source of the issue. Hadn't shut the Mac down for a long time though - at least 2-3 months. Even still, I still think that's crazy - I'm by no means a heavy user. I guess the only solution is to shut down once per month!

Hi folks. My computer storage is maxing out at the moment so I'm doing a clear out. I have my Affinity Designer files mostly on the desktop 3GB, and of course the application itself 2.45GB, and an Application Support library file at 4.7GB. But I have found a file in the following location which is 31.2GB!! Can I do something with this?? Private / Var / Folders / 18 / (code number) / T / com.seriflabs.affinitydesigner TIA

Hey Alfred - still struggling here. My first image is the design. But I wanted to pad it out more so I added a stroke (settings: align stroke to centre). Image 2 was the result and this is the size / image I want to export. But it crops. So I've tried changing to settings: align stroke to inside, but result is image 3 - right back where I started and no matter how much padding I add or how much I try to resize the image, I can't get it to look like image 2 which is still what I'm after. Hope that makes sense! I guess using your image as an example - if you like image one (the size and shape of the 'white', but you want the red border too ... how would you export that? image 2 can't be the result as it negativelt affects the white portion 🥴 Driving myself crazy here

Hey Alfred. I know I've completely missed the point here so apologies! I've taken a look at the align options. As per your image, the only way it doesn't crop is if I select the 'Align Stroke to Inside' option. But that has the same results as having no stroke at all? How do I export my image so that it shows the body and the stroke/outline together?

Hi, I'm that new (and inept) that I have only just realised I am losing parts of my publishing document because I've been deleting files from my mac which were linked and not embedded. I didn't even know these options existed - I had just assumed everything I used within publisher would stay there ... anyway ... I now understand the features and benefits of linking vs embedding but, for the purposes of the current project, is there a way to (a) find out which files are linked (I can only find the embedded list in resource manager), and then (b) change the linked files to embedded files? Thanks!

Hey Walt, That's a good shout. I do use Master pages - I hadn't considered creating a separate one. Cheers!
