kcrt reacted to LauChis in Import table data
Hi, I just found this forum, as I needed to import a table (well more than one) into Affinity publisher 1.7.2 from Excel on a mac OSX 10.14.6. Just copy from Excel and in Affinity publisher selected table, created a little more than two cells (like in picture above) and pasted, brilliant, only a little reformatting. I had already redone four tables from scratch, good learning though. Thank you forum for the help.

My hacky work around might help. I'm on a Mac running Mohave 10.14.6
(But ultimately, I need to link to a spreadsheet, or folder containing whatever so that docs will update dynamically, right?)
For now at least this works without having to retype a ton of data:
- Select and copy all the data you want from your existing tablet. Here I used an html table online to copy my son's football sched:
- In Affinity Pub, use the type tool and make a text container roughly big enough to paste all your data in. The text will be formatted with tabs between the content from each cell. Dont try and make it look pretty, it's got the correct formatting here to paste into a table.
- Again in Affinity, make a table with the amount of rows and columns you need
- Select all the cells you need and paste them in. All the tabs in the raw text are used to separate each item into cells.
Again, not ideal but at least we aren't having to type or copy/paste each and every cell.
I've also tried this from Google Sheets and it works the same.

kcrt reacted to neryx in Free Affinity resources
I've recently published two posts with free resources. And now I started third resource with free icons - webiconio. Many of these items were created in Affinity products. Affinity products are great. It's time to give celebrate Affinity, so I decided to create a fourth project - Affinitio. If you have ideas I will be glad for them.
Dipixio - free isolated photos
Downbg - free backgrounds
Webiconio - free icons
Affinitio - free resources for Affinity products (templates, styles, assets, etc.)

kcrt reacted to Phil in Welland in Crash on saving the document
I'm having the same problem when saving a particular document - this was started from scratch using the final release version of Publisher, i.e. not the Beta.
Crashes every time attempting to save or save-as.
What I'm attempting to do is adjust a pinned item (floating image box), and also use the decoration panel so set a horizontal rule before paragraphs.
I've attached the crash log if it is of any help!
I can start a new document from scratch, put something in it, and successfully save it, so the problem seems to be in the one mentioned above.

kcrt reacted to Framon in Where is the Symbol menu in Studio panel ?
In the beginning of beta releases, it was a symbol menu in the Studio panel. I don't see it anymore...
Where is it now?

kcrt reacted to Uitleg & tekst in Import table data
Is there any way to import tabular data (like a csv or a table in a textfile) into a table in Affinity Publisher? I can't seem to link or place a file in any format. If I try to copy the data, it always lands in one table-cell.
Love the Affinity-products, by the way. Great work!
