  1. I may have to stop using affinity, as I presently have to export photos I want to print as a tiff file, import into an old CS3 copy of photoshop so I can print. Trouble is when I upgrade to the new MAC OS the old CS3 will no longer work. I either need to purchase a copy of Elements just to print or get the monthly subscription and use it for everything. Affinity does a lot of things pretty well, but lack of color management is such a big negative for those like me that print images that the good features are mostly negated.
  2. No they are not. The MBP is 2800x1800 Retina 30 bit color and the NEC is 1920x1200 30 bit color. Interestingly this morning when I when in to get that info on monitor resolution of the NEC in DISPLAY PREFERENCES I must have unknowingly done something. I reopened Affinity to get info about what was happening and this time it worked fine. I dragged the window over to the NEC with an open file and the photo could be seen. Not sure what I did if anything. Incidentally the photo could always be seen in the lower right hand corner under the navigator tab, just not in the main working area. Thanks for replying.
  3. I can open Affinity on my 2017 MacBook Pro and open a CR2 photo copy. All is fine, but when I drag the Affinity window to my photo monitor (Nec Multisync LCD 2690 WUXi2) the window comes across fine but the photo image is a black box. I can drag the window back to the MBP and again I see the photo. If I drag half way the MBP shows half the image but the NEC has a black box. This is my first try at using Affinity so I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I did not wait very long 10-20 seconds after I moved the image to the NEC before I moved it back so I don't know if it just takes a very long time to show up. It shows up fast on the MBP.
