  1. awful, terrible news sigh, guess i have to keep looking ...
  2. agreed! i pretty much only need good stabilisation, and timelapse recording, and (for me) Photo/Designer would be perfect
  3. i would really love to have a stabiliser mode in Photo/Designer that works the same way the procreate one does. Unfortunately, it’s really difficult to describe or even show in a video, it has to be experienced first hand, but here’s the best one i could find that kinda/sorta shows what i mean:
  4. of course but i only have a "lowly" Huion screen tablet, so no touch for me, unfortunately that's why it would be nice to be able to do it without a touch screen as well
  5. yes, but this only applies to Designer, since there are no artboards in Photo at all (and i mainly use Photo for drawing, haha) but yes, there should definitely be a way to rotate the canvas/artboards more interactively
  6. ah, that would explain that in that case - it should be better explained, because it's absolutely not intuitive and i would never in a million years have thought that's the setting that would switch the eraser to the same brush
  7. yes, i know it can be done, but it's still not ideal (to say the least), and not very interactive either yes, that sounds like a good idea to me just as long as there's some spring-loaded tool that can make this work (with or without a modifier key, doesn't really matter)
  8. oh yes, that's it! i had it set to "smart sharing" (whatever that does), but changing it to all tools does exactly what i need, thank you so much!
  9. i know it's already possible to rotate the canvas with the View menu (or with mouse wheel), but for tablet users neither option is all that great, so i would like to request an additional "rotate canvas" tool which could be used to arbitrarily rotate the canvas (with an option to rotate around the cursor position), and which would also enable us to use in a spring-loaded manner (like the brush, or eraser tools right now).
  10. i know it's already possible to designate any created brush as an eraser, but it still necessitates creating a completely separate brush to achieve this, and it can lead to a pretty big mess when someone uses lots of different brushes. So it would be nice to have an additional checkbox in the brush tool toolbar (or just application settings) that would permanently (until unchecked) use the same brush settings for the eraser tool since basically that's what i want to do 99% of the time anyway.
  11. nope, that never happened ... well, not yet at least (even though they said it would happen in 2018)
  12. not really, no ... only my observations on what is and isn't releasing on there ... and what used to be in there but isn't any more
  13. you should at least try to check before making false statements: https://store.steampowered.com/app/673130/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/603930/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/368340/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/519860/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/590380/ just a (very) small sample out of literally hundreds of games ... none of those games use steam's DRM ... all of those games i listed were released last year ... and again - it doesn't matter if the software is 2 months or 20 years old .... developers have the OPTION to use steamworks ... but it's not a requirement ... some do, some don't ... the age of the software is completely irrelevant Windows Store also takes 30% afaik also - on Steam developers have the ability to generate an unlimited amount of keys to sell outside of steam, and steam doesn't take any cut out of those keys - 100% of the money from those keys goes to the developer yes ... but that's 700 million Windows 10 users ... not Windows Store users yes, i know it comes pre-installed with windows, but hardly anyone uses it (especially for anything beyond simple mobile-like apps) again - Krita, openCanvas, Black Ink, Substance Painter, Mari, 3D Coat and a few others all are on Steam (not to mention other software like Blender, Houdini, Modo, Marvelous Designer) ... short of Corel and Adobe stuff, pretty much every other drawing/painting app is on Steam as well also - i'm not asking for Serif to start selling Affinity apps EXCLUSIVELY on Steam from now on .... i'm just asking for them to consider ALSO putting it up on Steam for people who might prefer to buy it from there
  14. the advantage of having everything in one place ... the advantage of automatic updates ... among other things i already have Steam running at all times, and already have a good few pieces of software i bought there specifically for the convenience ... just for reference - there's already quite a lot of software on steam ... including stuff like Krita, openCanvas, blender, Substance Painter and others and also - if the devs decide to not use Steam's DRM - you wouldn't even have to have Steam running to be able to use the Affinity apps and as for the market of graphical artists - i'm 90% sure it's bigger on Steam than it is in the Windows Store ... Steam has over 125 million registered users, 90 million monthly active users (obviously not all of them are artists, but numbers are numbers) and to give you a rough idea - here are the current activity numbers for blender (yes, i realize it's free, but it still counts): this is not accurate ... Steam offers their DRM solution, yes ... but it's in no way mandatory there are quite a few games and software that are 100% DRM-free (as in: you don't even have to have steam running to be able to use them) you can't use the same Steam account in more than one place at a time ... so it's by default limited to the one place you're currently using the account at
  15. yeah, i'm with @mission and @Hirvijk - would be nice to be able to get all the apps directly on steam ... i'm trying to consolidate my software library and having all of it in one place would definitely be a good thing just thought i'd chip in :)
