  1. Or…use left hand to adjust, which frees up a lot of things and includes ability to adjust while rendering Strokes!😏
  2. New oddity…so a connectivity issue/bug with Google Drive at least.. ‘Opened Designer V2….new document, Place image > Google Drive > select image > works just fine. ‘Use Affinity Photo…ONLY WORKS on previously imported images into Designer. No others can be used. All sources others are fine, just not GDrive.
  3. Yes, Procreate does lack the luster of Adjustments/Filters or even Text (and surely a few other things) but it is designed primarily for Digital Painting/Illustration, with the many other additions still very good if it was all one had. I mean even the Animation Assistant for making animations is limited, but still quite exquisite for what it can do…even though there are better out there more specific for that which is the key. ‘With the versatility of the iPad and Apps however, it is not an issue I have encountered for global limitations, as everything migrates and transfers fluidly. ‘All of my Creative Apps used like Affinity Photo/Designer, Procreate, LumaFusion, Nomad, and staple Apple ones like Keynote etc….and of course now with Publisher…simply make it a powerhouse Mobile Studio with fluid transferability for whatever one is creating.
  4. iPad Pro v.3 256G Can confirm and have replicated the issue…using Google Drive instead. Place image works fine with Files and images from Photos on the iPad, but does not for Google Drive (similarly to the afore posted One Drive I presume). ‘Can go through process as normal, but afterwards you do not get a prompt displaying it is ready to be placed. Think there is a connectivity issue between Affinity and the specific Drive. When I first attempted to Place from Cloud Storage, it prompted me to “Open/Sign into Drive” (similarly same thing for Dropbox). But even though signed in and the App opened in background, it does nothing. In the Settings for Linked Services there is one for Dropbox (went through the linking process just fine), but no others display to even do so.
  5. Absolutely agree this is an issue. ‘Have tried to perform the suggested method, and still reverts back to normal. This is regardless of any Live Adjustment Filters used, but simple Layer Blend choices selected. Shouldn’t have to be some “Exit the Panel first….” procedure for something so simple of a selection process.
  6. The apps you mention, primarily Procreate are engineered specifically for digital painting, which is why Procreate is almost unsurpassed in the silky smooth and responsive painting area thanks to their engine. Affinity V2 is no where near Procreate in this area, but it is drastically and remarkably improved form the old V1 on iPad. Affinity Photo while doing an impressive job now, is comprised of more Photo Editing performance greatness than Procreate…kinda like a trade off between the two. If I’m digitally painting….I’m using Procreate. Then will use Affinity Photo to optimize the exported artwork. Simple as that.
  7. It was a bit confusing at first, but once you know…it is pretty fluid.
  8. Noticed this mainly on Affinity Photo V2 (and on Designer)… When typing in Text, if you come to the end of a word and type a pause break like this >” And this happens… “ whereby you input three periods at the end, it will often input four automatically…to which when you delete/backspace one, it instantly deletes all of them and the last letter of the last word as well. ‘Know you have bigger fish to fry…is just an irritating situational thing, so no urgency.
  9. Just have to say thanks and kudos to the entire Serif team! After so much waiting….FINALLY have Publisher 2 on iPad! Much less to the sleek and smooth V2 Photo and Designer! Bit to get used to, but already enjoying the new Tutorial Vids made to learn it all. ‘Thanks again, loving them!
  10. Oh well, no worries. Kept V1 just as an emergency backup, and able to make a list from the Settings Fonts section. ‘Just got finished installing Fonts onto V2…and as a note, have an updated Font Folder in Files now…so when a V3 comes out, I’m at least ready to go. All in all still loving it!
  11. Loving the new V2 for iPad Pro, kudos to the team! But have some questions regarding Fonts. The previous version of Affinity Photo allowed you to conveniently install directly into the app, thereby allowing you to Trash the Source File and keep free space. But there is no way to transfer the multiple Fonts saved in V1 to V2. This wouldn’t be a problem if we were talking about 1-4 Font styles…but we are talking about multiple Fonts…upward to 50+ AND any of the alternate styles! There is no way to retrieve from the older version from Files, because after manually transferring Documents over…the entire V1 File just vanished completely even (if it were possible to do so that way). I only have a few that we’re thankfully already saved via the Fonts file in the iPad File folder, but all others are lost. So we are now simply supposed to research/remember/search and find any of those because there is no migration/transfer??
  12. Ahhh, thanks for this! Made a thread about it, as it just happened to me as well. Numerous duplicates of very first exported image, regardless of being separate work files. Just hope there is a resolution soon, as this thread is dated March 27…..and it is already April 18!
  13. Ok, this is a major bug. Have seen posts on this, but those are from March 27ish….and it’s now April 18th. iPad Pro, 12.9” v. 3, 256G storage with only 115G used. After working on some images, I went to export as a PNG file….everything worked fine, image saved as png file using ‘Share’ option as always (and have done for quick exports for years) into the Photos Library. Work on 4-5 separate images, exporting using the ‘Share’ option as before after each. Check the Photo Library…. 5 images of the very first one image exported- not each separate image exported, but 5 of the first initial image exported at the start. I’ve performed a Hard Reset of iPad, to clear cache, restarted the App but same results. Worked fine up until now. Now….if I want duplicates of something I worked on after the first initial export, great. Other than that is extremely problematic…as I have to close and restart the App each time working on an image, then test if it exported correctly. Help!
  14. Really very nice work here! Love the simplicity of them, even amidst such lovely complex details. Nicely done!
  15. Still no Publisher on iPad…going on years now…would have been a good Black Friday (or even Cyber Monday thing). Would have been nice…but oh well.
  16. Nicely done! Having been doing most everything from scratch my whole life, can understand difficulty some may have with what I find natural creativity. Learn the methods and techniques of the processes, but continue evolving your own style to incorporate them...will get easier and faster the more you do. ‘Great work!
  17. On an iPad Pro 12.9, v.3 currently... and most likely go for another with an M1 Chip (or later version than than the new), but am of a bit different mindset I guess, as I like the new design of the iMac overall. Would wait for 2nd versions at least to see if any modifications and such, but given the ample power and versatility of iPad Pro even now, for the many creative apps and such I use would still be my go to with the M1 Chip added.
  18. Would have checked it out... but not prone to Download type links in order to see things.
  19. Because that’s usually how you have to Upload Video on most websites, as Video is a much larger Data size than Images....generally Images KB/Mb whereas Video can be 100+Mb to Gb. ‘By hosting Video on a Cloud or Service, reduces bandwidth/storage usage on a website. Typically use either a simple Hyperlink, directing to video...or if wanting actual Video to display, the external hosting. ‘How do so many videos easily get posted? Usually already hosted to be Shared. ‘Is case for most all websites.
  20. Ha! Nicely done....even though I was expecting a fuzzy little thing.
