Bump?

I'm trying to remove the background from a model. I use the quick selection tool on her and then go into the refine selection but it's doing this weird auto-feathering thing. As you can see in the photo around all the edges it's doing this sort of feathering type thing despite me never touching the sliders. Look closely at her nose, forehead, lips, chin and neck, you'll see what I mean. Anyone know what's going on? Please help! Thanks!
