Can save a selection as a channel. Subsequent selections will not be saved as another channel. Feature works as expected in Affinity Photo 1.6.7

I see that the latest Affinity Photo and Beta still support cmd+shift left click on pixel layer to select 50% luminosity. Why isn't this documented or offered in Select pull down menu ? Also it would be nice if that pull down menu included the equivalent of free available macro to auto create light dark channel masks ? and finally macro recording should support renaming of masks.
