  1. Brilliant, much thanks for taking the time to make such a clear explanation. Cheers!
  2. Thanks firstdefence. Have not tried creating shapes, but I like your approach. I assume that after creating the shape I can position it. Once that's done I could set guides to it?
  3. Hello, I'm a longtime PS user who would love to dump it. I need to be able to bring photos of my paintings into AP and skew them into the original aspect ratio of the painting. All of my work needs to be shot from an angle b/c glare, especially on the pieces which are on bare copper. Example: An iPhone snap of a painting will always need to be skewed (Perspective Tool?) because of glare on the panel. I need to be able to skew the image back to its original dimensions, for instance 9" x 12". PS makes this really simple, via Fixed Ratio Selection. I hope AP has a workaround that can be a preset or done on the fly. Any help is much appreciated. A before and after example is below. The original painting is 18" x 18". Thanks, Richard
  4. Yes, that's what I have. It has to be with the source image. Everything else seems to correspond to the file that works (psd).
  5. Thanks Pšenda. The process works perfectly on a psd file I imported. It does not work on a tiff file I downloaded from the LoC. Any ideas?
  6. I'm still doing something wrong. Pretty sure it has something to do with layer structure. Help?
  7. Geez, just figured it out. The preset color has to be set as Background, not Foreground.
  8. Hello, first post, I'm looking for help selecting colors within a photo that are in a preset palette. I have done it (once) but cannot get it to work again. This is something I need to do every day, so critical issue for me. I know how to Select Sampled Color. What I need to do is use colors from the preset palette (set as an Application palette). I can only select colors within the photo. All help appreciated/
