I copied a number of items with a Canon EOS 5d using Capture One 21 tethered. I utilized Capture One to straighten the copy images using the Keystone tool as well as the usual clarity and curves adjustments. The files were exported as a 350ppi 16 bit rgb, Adobe RGB (1998) icc profile. Using Affinity Photo 2 (2.0.3) I retouched unwanted artifacts. Problem: When I tried to save the files, some would save normally and some would not save (see attached screen shot). If I opted to save with layers, the file size jumped to 285 MB Even more frustrating is the fact that some of the files that would require the "save with layers", but after closing without saving and reopening, the file would save "normally" (that is without the requirement to "save with layers Also attached is a screen shot of file info comparing one such file that went both ways. With just one file, I would save as an .afphoto and export back to a .tiff but there are too many images in the job to make the extra step. Any guesses what is going on? ). I was not able to replicate the cause

Short cut of "s" selects smudge tool instead of Clone Brush as was in Affinity 1. Any way to change it back?

It is odd.. I use Capture one to create a tif file. When I open the file in Affinity Photo, the transparent background is always checked.

In Affinity Photo under Document, Transparent Background is always checked. Is there a way to turn it off? My Imageprint RIP does not like alpha channels, so I have to uncheck Transparent back ground on every file that I print. Thanks

Yes, I am in Photo. I have other strange issues that are usually resolved by restarting, but this persists. Any ideas? It is the opacity, hardness and flow that remain the same. other settings in tne context tool bar change between the tools.

Can someone please explain why the settings for the clone tool and the healing brush tool mimic one another? When the settings are changed on one tool, the other tool settings are changed also. Is there a way around this? Thanks.

The last request for a stroke feature in AP was in a 2016 post. Has there been any progress toward adding it to AP (as well as to AD)?

Newbe to Affinity Photo so can anyone tell me why the attached screen shot of the same Raw file opened in Capture One and Affinity Photo look so radically different? The image was captured tethered to an iMac using Capture One. Thanks, Hunter Clarkson
