I too much prefer the original icons. The icons give a visual message of what they do, especially the Publisher icon compared to the new version. Why does AFFINITY have to follow a trend? Most thing come round full circle and only dead fish swim with the current.

I hate to criticise as I am a great fan of AFFINITY and the way you guys interact with users.

I thought if, for example, I hovered over the pen tool icon it showed "Pen Tool"

 

Tool UI size now understood.

Well, I'm a lot poorer after splashing out on an iMac!

Really waiting for Publisher but enjoying the Affinity journey. I gained a lot of my knowledge by lurking on the PagePlus forum and asking the occasional question. So pleased to see this forum develop as a friendly helpful resource and the input from the 'listening' Serif team.
